A medium-sized firm near St. Albans is seeking a talented individual to join their dedicated team.As a Senior Accountant with them, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of medium-sized clients, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. • Oversee statutory accounts preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, offering insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• ACCA or ACA Qualified
• Proven experience in an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
