THE COMPANY

A private client-focused group with offices in Mayfair and other global locations, specialising in wealth structuring, advisory, corporate governance, fiduciary, and trust management for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. They offer expertise in domestic and international taxation, accounting, and compliance, along with multi-family office services for seamless management of personal and corporate matters worldwide.

THE ROLE

The client is seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant with a strong ability to think innovatively and a deep understanding of international corporate structures. This individual will support the accounting team in Mayfair (London) and collaborate closely with the leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the main point of contact and Customer Relationship Manager for key clients alongside the Associate Director.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, reports, and analysis.
  • Bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations, supplier/customer statement reconciliations, and posting adjustments.
  • Managing the purchase-to-pay process and preparing supplier payments.
  • Handling bookkeeping entries such as purchases, sales, bank, and payroll journals.
  • Managing intercompany reconciliations with subsidiaries, head office, and associated companies.
  • Completing VAT returns, monthly management accounts, and year-end audited financial statements.
  • Processing EC Sales/Intrastat statements.
  • Preparing statutory and consolidated financial statements.
  • Calculating and preparing corporation tax computations.
  • Proactively responding to client needs and maintaining regular communication on progress.
  • Identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential clients and informing the Partner.
  • Liaising with HMRC, clients, banks, and other professionals.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed within budget and alerting relevant parties to any overruns.
  • Adhering to the firm’s quality control procedures and managing risk.
  • Providing technical support on compliance matters.
  • Actively contributing to bids and proposals for new business.
  • Overseeing the WIP and billing process.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a top 6 accounting firm.
  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Experience working in the UK environment with knowledge of VAT, CIS, and Payroll.
  • Proficiency in accounts production is essential.
  • External audit experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with working under ISAs is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, IRIS Accounts Production, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware, Digita, Onesource, and Sage Tax.
  • Professional fluency in one or more languages is preferred (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Turkish).
