Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of client assignments and play a key role in supporting the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for SMEs and larger clients
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
  • Reviewing and mentoring junior team members to enhance their development
  • Providing proactive advice to clients on financial performance and business improvements
  • Supporting Partners with ad hoc projects, such as tax planning and advisory work
  • Liaising directly with clients to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Staying up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with strong experience in accounts preparation
  • Proven track record of managing client portfolios within a practice environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and client-focused approach
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior staff members
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar systems is advantageous
