Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Winchmore Hill, North London

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced and highly technically skilled Senior Accountant to join an established and reputable practice based in Winchmore Hill, North London. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work closely with an experienced accounts senior, providing support in the preparation of final accounts, liaising with clients, and managing a variety of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare final accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and analytical reviews.

Prepare corporation tax computations (Ct comps) and handle all related queries.

Conduct and oversee client account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Liaise directly with clients, offering expert advice and guidance where needed.

Maintain strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and ensure all work is completed with minimal guidance.

Collaborate with the accounts senior on ad-hoc accounting matters.

Utilize Iris, VT+, Xero, Sage, and Excel to manage client accounts efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualification: ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.

Technical Knowledge: Strong technical background in accounting with a solid understanding of accounting processes, standards, and regulations.

Experience:

Recent experience within practice is essential

Comfortable working with medium to large-sized clients with varying complexities, beyond small sole traders or micro-businesses.

Familiarity with working in an environment that requires strong interaction and reporting with both internal and external teams, as well as an outsourced office.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills:

Advanced Excel skills are a must.

Experience with Iris, VT+, Xero, Sage, and/or QuickBooks would be ideal, though not essential.

Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues alike.
