Position: Senior Accounts Assistant (Full Time)

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a new challenge? My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant to support our Finance Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of our accounting office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, with exposure to both UK and overseas financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile transactions overseas offices
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including customer invoicing, supplier payments, and expense claims.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers via email, phone, and video calls, both domestically and internationally.
- Prepare statutory accounts and assist with payroll calculations.
- Reconcile financial accounts, including direct debits, P&L, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing month-end schedules, VAT returns, and audit schedules.
- Work with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
Key Requirements:
- AAT Level 4 / CIMA qualified.
- Minimum of 5-7 years accounting experience, with a strong background in cost accounting and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
- Familiarity with international transactions, especially currency trade and intercompany balance management.
- Extensive knowledge of VAT rules in the UK and stock management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP Business 1 (or similar) and SAP Concur is advantageous, but training will be provided.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to write and follow accurate notes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across teams.

Working Hours & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8.45 am to 4.45 pm.
