Our client is one of the leading global law firms with over 40 offices in Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Their Construction and Engineering team advises a diverse range of client projects across property development, nuclear, energy, defence, petrochemicals, mining and infrastructure. We are now looking for an exceptional Senior Associate to join their busy, successful, and highly regarded Construction and Engineering team.

To be successful in this role:

We are looking for an experienced Construction and Engineering Senior Associate, with around 6-8 years of post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience, ideally gained at a leading City or regional firm. You will have experience of managing an independent case load and working as a member of a larger team with a strong focus on transactional and projects work. Other requirements for this role include:

  • Strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree)
  • Excellent written communication and drafting skills
  • Outstanding technical skills
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team
  • At Senior Associate level

Job role and responsibilities:

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for understanding the legal principles of your own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas. You will have project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards and will stay aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas. Other responsibilities for this role include:

  • Regularly attend appropriate training sessions
  • Foster excellent working relationships with clients
  • Gain detailed understanding of clients, the sector and the associated risks and opportunities
  • Actively work to develop and strengthen new client relationships
  • Act as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Manage, develop and lead more junior members of a team
  • Gain strong relationships and profile amongst senior colleagues
  • Work effectively with others whilst also managing and taking responsibility for an individual case load
  • Understand the industry and market in which the practice team and clients operate
  • Contribute to the management of the group/practice area by understanding the firm’s capabilities and business plan
  • Take an active role in managing the firm's reputation both in and out of work
  • Understand the responsibility to give back to communities
  • Understands the value of a diverse workforce

Salary : 312000 - 375000
