Job Description :

We need a Senior Auditor to join us at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

It's a truly exciting time to join us with a lot of scope for progression and work on fascinating projects. (And don't forget, every second Friday off! )

Location: Hybrid and fully flexible working, with our offices based near Reading at RG7 4PR. You will be onsite about 3 days per week.

Salary Range starts at: £43,930, this is open to upwards negotiation if you have the skills and experience that we need.

A typical day for a Senior Auditor could look like this:

  • Leading and supporting the development of initiatives aligned with the audit strategy

  • Gains agreement to audit findings and follow-up of audit issues and actions in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Delivering high quality audits within agreed timelines

  • Leading and supporting implementation of best practice

  • Identifying and developing improvements to the end-to-end audit process

  • Coaching and mentoring team members

We would like you to demonstrate or have experience of:

  • Negotiating and collaboration

  • Knowledge and application of modern audit and risk management

techniques

  • Proficiency with audit techniques to address specific focus of

individual audit & consultancy assignments

  • Engaging with senior leaders to facilitate implementation of recommendations

  • Developing a team

Your CV will stand out if we see the following:

  • Background in a Science & Technology / Project based / regulated

organisations

  • Chartered or Certified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, or equivalent

  • Specialist Professional, Technical, Project Management or Change

Important things you need to know:

  • You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
