Senior Azure Data Engineer:

My client, a large Insurance organisation in London, are on a journey of growth and are expanding their internal data engineering capability. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and Azure data services to join a company, who is putting data first to optimise business growth and efficiency.

This is a multi-faceted role and will require the senior data engineer to work with the business whilst playing a key part in implementing robust Data Solutions to enable business insights and operational efficiency's.

The Senior Data Engineer will need excellent communication skills, as they will act as a mentor to Junior Engineers and face off to the business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Strong experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Databricks (SQL & PySpark).
• Extensive experience with Azure data services, including ADF, Synapse, ADLS, and Azure Functions.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing metadata-driven data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices for data engineering.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) (preferred).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience working with insurance data (Advantageous).
