A well-established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their Outsourcing Team. You will support with the management of a varied portfolio of Limited Companies and Partnerships. You will also gain a deeper understanding of Management Accounting with the opportunity to progress to a Management Accountant role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee bookkeeping tasks (bank reconciliations, purchase/sales invoicing, etc.).
- Adapt processes to meet client requirements.
- Introduce efficient tasks and software to clients.
- Prepare UK and international payment runs for client approval.
- Pay employee expenses and prepare VAT returns.
- Assist in management reporting, including month-end schedules and profit and loss reviews.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing support via various communication channels.
- Ensure accurate and timely management information.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide proactive support.
- Assist with training and development of the team.
Requirements:
- Experience in a practice or industry environment.
- Ideally AAT qualified (or similar).
- Knowledge of accounting issues affecting small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting products (Xero, Dext, Fathom).
