Senior Building Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join Building Consultancy Team of a global consultancy that stands out against the others with it’s unique culture and resources.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is either recently qualified or is on the verge of completing their APC. The role offers a diverse workload, career development, and the chance to work with an experienced team and an enviable client base. They truly work with some of the biggest companies and high net worth individuals with a lot of work from Aristocrats, business leaders and sports stars.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage your own workload, from inception through to completion, with a high level of client contact.
- Undertake technical due diligence surveys, dilapidations, building pathology, and planned preventative maintenance.
- Specify and administer refurbishment projects, ranging from £50k to in excess of £2m.
- Project management responsibilities on larger projects, coordinating multi-discipline design services.
- Prepare and negotiate dilapidations instructions for both landlords and tenants.
- Support the appraisal and monitoring of new developments for various stakeholders.
- Prepare planned preventative maintenance schedules and schedules of condition reports.
- Review and approve tenant’s licences for alterations and provide technical building pathology advice.
- Conduct building, measured, and condition surveys.
- Prepare Notices, Schedules of Condition, and Awards for Party Wall matters.
- Support business development activities and maintain client relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Building Surveying.
- MRICS qualified or nearing qualification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proactively within a team.
- Proficient in IT, time management, and communication.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Full (ideally clean) driver’s licence.
