Senior Building Surveyor

£52,985 - £56,556 per annum
Hours of Work: 35 per week

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Head of Building Defects and Disrepair, our Senior Building Surveyor oversee building defect assessments and managing disrepair issues within our properties. The successful candidate will lead a team of surveyors and operatives, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Senior Building Surveyor do;
Conduct thorough building surveys to identify defects and disrepair.
Provide expert advice on building regulations, standards, and best practices.
Manage and mentor a team of Building Surveyors and Multi-Skilled Operatives.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective project delivery.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
Oversee the implementation of remedial works and monitor progress.
What we are looking for;
RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building surveying, with a focus on defect diagnosis.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using surveying software and tools.
