Senior Buyer - French Speaking - Nigel Wright Group : Job Details

The CompanyOur client is a rapidly expanding, complex manufacturing business that makes bespoke products.  They have been growing at pace in recent years and as such, are looking to extend their Purchasing Team with a French speaking Senior Buyer.The OpportunityThe Senior Buyer will have the following key responsibilities:

• Procurement responsibility for all Indirect spend on site, including Subcontract, MRO, FM, Capex, Consumables etc
• Supplier relationship management, identifying opportunities for rationalisation/cost reduction/avoidance 
• Supplier/-cost negotiations and performance management, contract renewals/retenders
• Business partnering internal stakeholders at other Group sites (UK, Europe)
• Identifying opportunities to drive procurement best process/practice, introduce new systems to drive efficiencies

About YouThe ideal Senior Buyer will have/be

• A fluent French speaker
• Strong procurement background, ideally gained from within manufacturing/engineering
• Accustomed to managing multiple areas of spend
• Excellent attention to detail, technically minded, strengths in supplier relationship management 
• Proactive, positive can-do attitude, with a continuous improvement mindset
• Adaptable to the changing requirements and priorities within the business
• Resilient, strong communicator, confident in challenging and engaging cross functionally with stakeholders of all levels 
• Willing to travel to Europe periodically
