As the Senior Buyer you will,
- Managing and overseeing the procurement function, supporting professional develop, building engagement, and delivering high performance
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure security of supply, at a competitive price
- Ensure supplier performance is optimised across quality, cost, and delivery metrics
- Monitoring market trends and making procurement decisions based on these trends
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment of procurement strategies, and supporting innovation
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- Track record in a managerial role within the Procurement & Supply Chain department
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of market trends and the ability to make strategic procurement decisions
- Ideally a working knowledge of a textiles supply base
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
