This position requires a results-driven Senior Buyer who can effectively manage the procurement and supply chain processes within the industrial / manufacturing industry. The role is based in Liverpool, and the individual will be an integral part of the procurement and supply chain team.

Description

• Implement & develop and implement effective procurement strategies
• Manage the buying for multiple sites, in-line with forecasted demand
• Manage Weekly/Monthly inventory reports to inform the site and board of current position
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal terms
• Ensure the quality of products and services from suppliers
• Manging supplier NCRs where applicable
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain business continuity, and improve pricing
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory
• Oversee risk management in the supply chain across the group
• Champion and drive the group vison on our path to excellence.
• Supporting team members with development and growth

Profile

A successful 'Senior Buyer' should have:

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management
• Proven experience in the management and utilisation of inventory reporting
• Strong knowledge of the manufacturing sector (MOMs & BOMs)
• Exceptional negotiation skills and a strategic mindset
• Proficiency in risk management and market dynamics
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Excellent Excel skills

Job Offer

• An estimated salary range of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
