• Oversee the strategic purchasing of mechanical, electrical, and logistics categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
• Monitor market trends to identify potential procurement opportunities and risks.
• Ensure procurement procedures align with industry regulations and company policies.
• Manage and mentor junior procurement team members.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the procurement department's strategy.
• Implement and maintain an effective supplier performance management system.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer' should have:

• Experience within procurement and in particular indirects
• Open to travel between Coventry and the South
• Candidate should come with experience in indirect procurement
• Must do some time off site in factories
