Job Title: Senior Buyer Location: Rochdale Salary: 45-47k SF Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturer based in Rochdale. A skilled Senior Buyer is required to oversee the procurement function and contribute to building robust processes and systems to support future growth. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all procurement activities, directly reporting to the Operations Director. - Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, assessing cost, quality, and risk factors. - Establish and negotiate supplier contracts and payment terms - Perform supplier evaluations and streamline the supplier portfolio - Track delivery performance and procurement KPIs and introducing process improvements to support business growth. - Enhance inventory management by reducing stock levels, optimizing lead times, addressing stockouts and obsolescence, and leveraging the M1 ERP system. - Develop and standardize internal procurement processes and operational procedures. - Participate in daily production meetings to promptly resolve internal and external issues (e.g., NCRs), ensuring service levels are maintained. Requirements: - Proven experience in procurement (manufacturing industry preferred). - Strong skills in supplier management, contract negotiation, and process improvement. - Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with M1 ERP is advantageous). - Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business growth goals. - Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
