Senior Claims Executive - MW Appointments : Job Details

Our client is an independent, global insurance broker authorised to transact business in the Lloyds' market. As a senior member of the claims team, you will be joining a vibrant, international business with offices across the world together with a strong UK footprint. The Senior Claims Executive will focus on the effective progress and management of claims emanating from the UK retail department, together will some settlement responsibilities.

Role overview

• Liaise with clients and provide appropriate advice on claim procedures.
• Liaise with Underwriters, Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Solicitors and colleagues on claims.
• Attend meetings with clients, Underwriters, Loss Adjusters and colleagues as required, ensuring that accurate meeting notes are kept (if required).
• Authority to settle straight-forward claims up to agreed handling authorities granted by Lloyd's Underwriters.
• Broking of claims to Underwriters within the London Market (Lloyd's, LIRMA, ILU and company markets).
• Create claims records on the company database, diary claims to request updates ad keep financial records up-to-date.
• Record and submit claims bordereaux
• Record and analyse claims data spreadsheets.

Skills and attributes

• Solid experience within a claims handling / broking / adjusting role.
• Experience of UK retail claims would be a desirable attribute
• Understanding of the Lloyds Market processes and platforms - desirable
• Able to achieve critical deadlines
• Work with a collaborative ethos
