What this role is all about:Enterprise division at Vitality is designed to empower the delivery of strategic initiatives within customer-centric journeys through full ownership of customer experiences and their enabling systems stacks. As lead Content Designer, you will be responsible for setting the vision and executing the content strategy across all digital experiences which support:
- Direct customers - by showcasing Vitality’s unique proposition and facilitating conversion on .co.uk
- Advisers - ensuring they understand our products and services, how to work with us, and how to access sales support
You will design a content roadmap which delivers business goals and strategic objectives by collaborating with your counterparts in Enterprise and a wider network of stakeholders. With the support of a small team of content designers. This role requires experience in content design with commercial focus.Key Actions
- Build and deliver a digital content roadmap which supports strategic initiatives led by Enterprise as well as marketing and sales campaigns. Can reconcile differentiated ways of working across the two business units and ensure that team capacity is allocated to initiatives which drive the highest value.
- Can articulate clear, measurable link between content design and impact to performance in both a trading and strategic setting. Contributes to trade meetings and can comfortably navigate the team and stakeholders through change in direction as the needs of the business evolve.
- Sets the standard for research, reporting and analysis to ensure the content team operate in a consistent and best practice manner.
- Owns the design and implementation of strategy, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business requirements are being met. Have an overall perspective on business issues, events, activities and an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact. Determine patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
- Able to influence stakeholders and manage relationships both strategically and effectively. Take opposing views and reach consensus on content that meets user needs and business goals, using evidence to explain decisions made.
- Implements and iterates processes and tools which support the content design team and quality of output ensuring our content adheres to Vitality standards.
- Able to operate autonomously, in a fast-paced environment, whilst empowering a team of content designers and working collaboratively across experience design.
What do you need to thrive?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Digital specialist with a proven track record working in native apps and web.
- Experience designing content for direct and adviser sales experiences.
- Experience of user journey mapping and user story writing.
- Experience of UX accessible writing and content design for digital channels.
- Experience of editing and publishing in Sitecore content management system.
- Experience of keyword research and implementing SEO recommendations.
- Strong understanding of digital analytics and conversion rate optimisation processes.
- Able to lead and facilitate meetings (e.g. lead workshops) within business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Outstanding team working and collaboration skills.
