About our clientOur client is a fast growing European focussed mid market private equity investor that is looking to make their second finance hire in London to support the CFO and partners in the growth and development of the business. The business is going through an exciting growth period as they are in the process of closing their second fund and this is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part of the development of the internal operations and work with senior management on the growth and strategy of the business. The role will be the number two to the CFO and have oversight of fund finance, group finance, portfolio management and valuations, transaction and investor support. What the job involves

• Oversight and review of fund financial reporting produced by external administrators
• Oversight of production of financial statements for the group and entities
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the group
• Overview of portfolio monitoring and portfolio company valuations
• Oversight of performance analytics and reporting
• Oversight of audit management
• Coordination with deal teams for operational support across the onboarding and exit of portfolio assets
• Coordination with tax advisors across international locations
• Support investor relations team in investor communication on queries and reporting
• Supporting the CFO on ongoing process improvement across the group
• Ensuring appropriate ongoing regulatory compliance
• Oversight of relationships with all external stakeholders across compliance, tax, fund finance etc.

Who we are looking for

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Experience in a private equity fund finance function
• Understanding of valuations and portfolio performance
• Knowledge of accounting standards across Europe is preferred
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
