Senior Credit Controller

• Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid after 3 Months
• Location: Park Royal
• Salary Range: £35,000 (10% + Bonus)

Reed is acting on behalf of long-standing client in the food industry who are recruiting for a Senior Credit Controller, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of customer accounts and ensuring timely payment of invoices. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from the office part of the week and remotely for the remainder, allowing you to balance work and personal life effectively, after successfully passing 3-month probation. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role:

• Chasing invoices via phone and email to ensure prompt payment.
• Handling and resolving customer disputes efficiently.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Managing overdue accounts and escalating as necessary.
• Generating and sending monthly statements to clients.
• Providing copy invoices and credit notes both internally and externally upon request.
• Liaising with key account managers regarding outstanding debts.
• Allocating daily receipts and managing the financial transactions associated with them.
• Placing accounts on stop when necessary to manage financial risks.
• Reconciling complex accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Raising manual invoices and credit notes as required.
• Maintaining a central record of account and payment statuses to keep the financial team updated.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documents and accounts.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, especially when dealing with customers who have outstanding debts.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with debtors, clients, and colleagues.
• Time management skills to handle multiple accounts, keep track of payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and rectify discrepancies in accounts.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP would be beneficial.

Please note this role is office based until completion of a 3-month probation.
