SENIOR CREDIT RISK MANAGER

UP TO £85,000

WOLVERHAMPTON (HYBRID)

This is an exciting new position for someone who is looking to make a bit contribution through data analysis, insight, and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for steering and supporting continued growth across the business's credit risk function.

THE COMPANY

The company is a UK-listed bank supporting under-served segments of the mortgage market with over 150 years of heritage and is a FTSE 250 bank. They deliver specialist lending and retail savings through industry-leading brands.

THE ROLE

You can expect to be involved in the following day-to-day:

  • Support and shape the delivery of the Credit Risk Insights agenda by utilising the existing Credit MI suite and driving the development of new reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure data is effectively transformed into actionable insights that lead to concrete measures for improving or mitigating credit risk within the company's portfolio.
  • Enhance the company's Credit Risk reporting suite by proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency, improving visualisations, and enhancing content.
  • Lead credit risk analytics initiatives, including in-depth analyses, segment performance evaluations, and strategy assessments.
  • Conduct credit risk analytical projects across the entire credit lifecycle and for all products and brands, providing support to the immediate team, the broader risk function, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage colleagues' workloads and lead teams to address MI and analytics projects effectively.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a Consumer Finance / Retail Banking Credit Risk function.
  • Previous experience using analytics, especially within credit, risk, or an audit function.
  • Experience creating and managing robust analytical frameworks.
  • A strong understanding of the Mortgage Lending Industry.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • A strong numerate degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
