Senior Credit Risk Underwriter- Commercial Real Estate

Up to £90K + great benefits

London (Hybrid)

My Client is on the search for a Senior Credit Risk Underwriter to work within the Credit Sanctioning department with responsibility for underwriting commercial real estate proposals. The role will include assessing both new proposals and existing facilities, assessing their adherence to policy and reviewing their merit against the strategy, the risks and mitigants.

Key Requirements:

• Analytical and Risk Assessment Skills: Ability to assess risks, mitigants, and the appropriateness of security packages.
• Strong Communication and Presentation Skills: Capable of presenting facility applications and responding to senior management queries
• Proactive and Improvement-Oriented: Initiates enhancements in processes and procedures for operational efficiency
• Extensive Real Estate Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the property market across varying geographies
• Underwriting Experience: Proven track record in underwriting both residential and commercial real estate proposals.
• Knowledge of Security Documents: Familiarity with legal documentation in real estate financing to ensure adequate protection for the bank
• Economic Impact Understanding: Ability to assess the impact of economic changes on real estate financing.
• Work-Out Recovery Experience: Experience in underwriting during market downturns and managing recovery processes.
• Experience with deal execution
