Senior Data Engineer - Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment : Job Details

SENIOR DATA ENGINEER READING - 1 DAY PER MONTH£80,000

This role requires a hybrid Data Engineer that has good platforming experience. You will be working in a small team within the PropTech space, acting as the expert Data Engineer with infrastructure as code experience.

THE COMPANY:

This company operates in the PropTech space supporting buyers with the process of purchasing a house. The company has a modern tech stack at scale but still lacks the solid infrastructure to allow for further growth. Since the company has recently been invested in, they want to ensure their data platform is ready to cope with additional data.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work alongside other Data Engineers to bridge the gap with the DevOps team. Your remit will be to build out the Terraform pipelines to allow for scalability. You will help to automate the current data pipelines working in their Azure environment, using Databricks to process the data.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal Data Engineer will have:

• Strong Python/SQL coding skills
• Worked within a cloud environment (ideally Azure)
• Worked at scale, processing large volumes of data
• Experience working on the data platforms, provisioning infrastructure as code (Terraform)
