Senior Devops Engineer - Banking, Kubernetes, Openshift - Harvey Nash : Job Details

Senior Devops/SRE Engineer - Openshift, Kubernetes, ELK sought by leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf.**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week onsite**Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing a deployment and hosting strategy that will scale to support multiple services and many end users in a performant way in a way that will deliver value early
• Build out our CI/CD pipeline to deploy all layers of the architecture to production in a robust, easy-to-use and automated way
• Providing alerting, technical documentation and operational support to allow us to identify and resolve incidents with the health of the application as quickly as possible
• Working well in a multidisciplinary DevOps-focused team, building a close relationship with other developers and production support teams
• Resolve a high impact problem through in-depth evaluation of complex architectures, business processes and industry standards

Skills & Qualifications:

• Significant experience in building CI/CD pipeline templates using Jenkins, Tekton & Harness
• Significant experience is setting up Alerting and Monitoring system using Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics/Jaeger & Splunk
• Strong passion & ability to quickly identify and automate any manual repetitive tasks to significantly reduce TOIL.
• Experience in working with stateful, stateless event driven microservices patterns and using distributed systems such as Kafka, Spark
• Experience in writing scripts in Python, Groovy, Shell
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) administration, Containers, and orchestration systems like Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Knowledge of database support for SQL & NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, & MongoDB
• Experience of enterprise secret management services such as Hashicorp Vault, CyberArk
• Strong debugging skills and experience of resolution of complex technical incidents.
• Knowledge of testing automation principles and frameworks (e.g. TDD, BDD, contract testing) is a plus
