Our SEND service is looking for a dedicated and passionate Senior Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Coordinators to join our team and help us create a positive impact today!

This is a full-time, permanent position (36 hours per week).

The Role:

As a Senior EHCP Coordinator, you will oversee the management, review, and quality assurance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (ECHNAs).

You will work closely with the SEND Casework Manager, providing guidance and decision-making support to a team of EHCP Coordinators. Your focus will be on ensuring that all legislative requirements are met and that children, young people, and their families are at the heart of the process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring effective communication with families, external agencies, and internal teams.
  • Ensuring all statutory requirements, including timeframes, are met.
  • Providing supervision for individual casework and supporting complex cases.
  • Contributing to data management and service delivery improvements.
  • Attending relevant meetings, including safeguarding discussions.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership and management abilities, including experience in team coordination, performance management, and fostering best practices.

You will have an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, such as The Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND reforms and be skilled at supporting a team to comply with statutory duties and timelines. We are looking for someone who:

  • Models a solution-focused approach to casework.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage complex cases effectively.
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external partners, particularly in health and social care, to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and data management skills.
  • A full Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
