Key Responsibilities:
Team Building & Leadership
- Lead recruitment, mentorship, and management of a high-performing software development team.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to transition software development in-house.
Technical Strategy & Execution
- Plan, execute, and deliver software projects aligned with business goals.
- Manage risks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
Technical Leadership
- Establish and enforce development standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to support business growth.
- Provide technical oversight through code reviews and technical stand-ups.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in building a software development function from scratch.
- Hands-on coding experience with the ability to lead technical stand-ups and code reviews.
- Strong background in team recruitment, leadership, and scaling development teams.
- Expertise in web development technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, and SQL Server.
- Experience in managing digital transformations, particularly bringing development in-house.
- Ability to collaborate with third-party vendors effectively.
- Experience in setting up technical roadmaps, strategies, and defining software architecture.
