Day-to-day of the role:
- Tender Support: Provide innovative solutions, advice on buildability and assist in managing key risks.
- Programme & Temporary Works Development: Develop project programmes for larger bids and support the Engineering team with necessary designs.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships through regular key client meetings.
- Contract Negotiations: Collaborate to negotiate terms that mitigate risks and secure favourable outcomes.
- Project Refinement Post-Award: Work closely within Engineering and Contract Management teams to refine projects, focusing on risk mitigation and efficiency.
- Pre-Site Planning: Ensure thorough planning with various teams to prepare for on-site execution, including team allocation, plant booking, and securing permits.
- Handover and Ongoing Support: Provide a comprehensive handover to the Contract Management team and continue support until the project is fully underway.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in reviews to enhance future bids, planning processes, and project delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in engineering.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to provide innovative and effective engineering solutions.
- Experience in contract negotiations and risk management.
- Proficient in project planning software and tools.
- Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
