Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive estimates for projects involving steel framing systems and light gauge steel.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for precise estimates.
- Identify and quantify materials, labour, plant, and time requirements through thorough analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, ensuring timely delivery of quotations to clients.
- Support junior estimators in their development, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tender process, addressing any queries or concerns.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures during the estimating phase.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector, specifically with steel framing systems and light gauge steel.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
