Are you a Senior Finance Assistant who is looking for an exciting new role with an award winning and growing organisation based in Central London?
You will be part of a highly successful team and will be required to go to the office 1 day per week, you will be reporting to the Finance Director supporting with the financial operations with a focus on client billing, reconciliations, financial reporting and accounts payable. This is a fantastic opportunity and will suit an enthusiastic and ambitious Senior Finance Assistant who is looking for a role where they can grow with an inspiring company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role within the legal, financial or professional services sectors.
Duties:
- Generating and issuing client invoices
- Processing credit notes and refunds for clients
- Understanding clients recharges and ensuring the costs are recharged on time
- Keeping accounts receivable ledgers updated correctly
- Ensuring invoices align with client contracts and purchase orders
- Resolving issues arising from queries on purchase orders
- Understanding clients billing workflow and tracking clients purchase orders against actual spend
- Responsible for clients onboarding
- Client reporting monthly
- Reconciling reports for invoicing
- Preparation of VAT returns & Year End Accounts
- Reconciling supplier ledgers and completing bookkeeping
- Completing cash postings and bank reconciliation
- Processing accounts payable invoices and keeping supplier ledgers up to date
- Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
- Work closely with the Finance Director on budgets for the new financial year and spend analysis
Skillset:
- Highly organised and able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, working to a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication & time management skills
- QBE or AAT qualified
- Proficient in using Xero and confident in navigating excel data sets
- Good understanding of profit & loss and balance sheets
- Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping and VAT
- Ability to identify and have an understanding of what good quality data looks like
- Highly numerate and ability to work to tight deadlines and in the fast-paced environment
- Being proactive, efficient and have a positive “can do” attitude
Salary £40,000 - £45,000
