Senior Finance Business Partner - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half are partnering with a Renewable Energy firm that are looking to hire someone to lead their commercial finance function.

Company

This business is a £4 million turnover Renewable Energy business that specialise in manufacturing turbines that create Renewable Energy. They are growing rapidly, and due to this growth they are looking to hire someone to head up their commercial finance team. The Senior Finance Business Partner will report directly into the CFO and will be responsible for managing two project accountants. They offer a hybrid working model of 1-2 days in the office per week. This role will be based in London.

Role

The Senior Finance Business Partner will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Analysing any cost variances and challenging the operations team on any material and price variances. The contract accounts are prepared by the project accountants; however, cover will be required as and when necessary.

• Build and maintain the cost model and BOM for each rotor size, working closely with Engineering and Production to ensure the model is accurate and reflects the latest pricing
• Support the sales team on pricing for commercial contracts to ensure the margins are fully understood and take responsibility for ensuring the legalities regarding any financial requirements (e.g. guarantees) are in place
• Build and maintain a consolidated model for all contracts to enable the business to understand the full margins and cash flow requirements. Ensure all POS are coded correctly in SAP to allow accurate commercial analysis. Monthly feed to central finance. Ensure all POS are captured accordingly
• Support the CFO with working capital analysis to manage cash requirements
• Provide Input into the strategic 5-year plan for the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow for the commercial contracts building a model/sourcing software where required, including building and challenging the 5 year sales pipeline
• Assist CFO at period end to review reporting packs where necessary and provide input to central finance team for the project's P&L, cashflow and balance sheet

This role will be based in central London.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Senior Finance Business Partner vacancy will be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified and will have revenue recognition experience, experience of working in a project based environment, experience of managing and extensive commercial finance experience. This role will be based in London.
