The BusinessA well established manufacturing firm, at the forefront of their sector, have created a new role for a Senior Finance Manager to join their best in class finance function. This role has been created following a number of high profile contract wins and to support in driving and integrating a number of business wide projects.The RoleIn this Senior Finance Manager role, some of you key areas of focus will be:
  • Drive Excellence in Rates Services: Lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional rates services, constantly seeking innovative ways to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Strategic Rates Model Oversight: Support the comprehensive review of Rates Operating Models across the UK Enterprise, providing clear insights into business and customer impacts, and driving strategic recommendations.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Audit Leadership: Oversee the submission of accurate rates to customers and regulators, ensuring full compliance with statutory guidelines, while spearheading rates audits to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborative Financial Analysis: Partner with FP&A teams to evaluate the financial impact of rates changes, ensuring data-driven decisions that align with business objectives.
  • Commercial Partnership & Negotiation: Collaborate with Commercial Leads to shape and negotiate customer rates agreements, ensuring cost allowability and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers and regulators, ensuring seamless communication and partnership.
  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Leadership: Coordinate the integration of rates inputs into the IBP process, managing timelines, dependencies, and enforcing rigorous process controls to guarantee accuracy and alignment.
  • Future Strategy Development: Play an integral role in shaping the future rates strategy, contributing to long-term planning and the evolution of rates frameworks.
  • Rates and Compliance Training: Deliver comprehensive training on rates and statutory guidance across the organization, while collaborating with the Head of Rates to develop and refine company policies.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of five direct reports, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that drives both individual and collective success.

  • Proactive Leadership & Team Inspiration: A highly self-driven individual with a proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams toward achieving exceptional results.
  • Expertise in Financial Modelling & Cost Management: Demonstrated expertise in managing cost bases and developing robust financial models, coupled with substantial experience in project financial management.
  • Industry-Specific Experience: Extensive experience working within contracts or similar sectors (e.g., industrial, aerospace, government), with a strong understanding of complex regulatory frameworks and contractual environments.

Salary : 64000 - 65000
