This pivotal role focuses on driving enhancements in financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, and strengthening internal controls. If you have a strong audit background with expertise in technical accounting and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment, this role offers a chance to make a significant impact.Key Responsibilities:External Financial Reporting:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing external financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
• Coordinate with auditors to streamline the audit process.
• Prepare and monitor financial covenant reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely stakeholder communication.

Technical Financial Reporting:

• Maintain and develop accounting policies aligned with IFRS.
• Provide insights on complex accounting matters and new standards.
• Document technical accounting positions for regulatory compliance.

Internal Controls and Documentation:

• Evaluate and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
• Document and adhere to control procedures.

Month-End Support:

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
• Support month-end close activities.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

• Contribute to technical accounting projects and initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong audit background, ideally with Financial Services experience would be desirable.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 2 & IFRS 9.
• Proven ability to draft technical papers and address complex accounting issues.

Desirable Skills:

• Tax experience.
• Familiarity with SPV structures.
