Senior Finance Officer

We’re looking to recruit a professional, and experienced Finance Assistant to support our finance team, and the company's growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day transactional finance tasks, work with all areas of transactional finance as necessary, support during peak times and holiday cover.
  • Oversee Sales Ledger, Purchase ledger and credit control
  • Conducting Daily bank reconciliations, logging creditor payments and ensuring the accounts system matches the bank.
  • Month end journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany journals.
  • Conducting ad-hoc customer account reconciliation to handle discrepancies.
  • Provide support to the payroll assistant. 
  • Assisting with month end P&L Reports.
  • VAT Reconciliation
  • CIS reporting, Sub-contractor statements.
  • Monthly Pension uploads to scheme provider.
  • Administration of employee benefit schemes.
  • Maintain Company motor insurance portal.

REQUIREMENTS:

·Previous experience in a finance or accounting role with similar responsibilities.

·AAT qualification advantageous but not essential. QBE also considered.

·Exceptional attention to detail and precision in financial data entry and record-keeping.

·Strong organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

·Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as Sage.

·Understanding of purchase ledger/sales ledger processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

·Analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of account reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.

·A proactive, collaborative approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
