Senior Financial Accountant - Sewell Wallis : Job Details

Sewell Wallis are working with a well-established and growing business based in Knaresborough who are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

This business has acquisitions on the horizon and has demonstrated impressive growth. They offer an inclusive and flexible working culture including hybrid working.

The successful candidate will report into a highly ambitious Senior Finance Manager and will need to have a strong technical accounting background, ideally specialising in audit, working for a recognisable accountancy firm.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with external and internal reporting requirements.
• Ensuring robust financial controls are implemented across the function.
• VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance is always adhered to in accordance with regulations.
• Prepare statutory accounts.
• Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Be a key point of contact for any technical accounting queries.
• Support with ad hoc projects when required.
• Respond to audit queries.

What skills are we looking for?

• Experience working with a large accountancy firm.
• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.
• Analytically minded and naturally inquisitive.
• Strong excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
