Job Description :

Our client is a fast-growing IFA practice that adds value through a detailed and comprehensive financial planning and investment process. They are looking for a Senior Financial Planner to join them in their office in Hampshire.

They would like someone with a Chartered status and minimum 5 years experience with a proven track record in business development and establishing client relationships. This role is a senior position in the firm which offers a pathway to partnership. You will receive full admin and paraplanning support.

General Duties:• Establish and build strong relationships with clients.• Review qualitative and quantitative analysis of client’s existing products to determine whether they meet the client’s current objectives and priorities.• Understand the client’s views and objectives.• Identify any other needs the client may have i.e. legal advice.• Preparing Financial Plans and Product Recommendations to meet the client’s objectives.• Maintaining records to support any research undertaken and carrying out all tasks in a manner that is consistent with compliance procedures.

Essential Skills:• To be able to strategically analyse available solutions.• Be a good decision maker.• Have the ability to communicate technical concepts to clients.• Have the ability to gain a commitment from clients.•The ability to work with the partners and other advisers to extract the relevant information required to prepare Financial Plans and Product Recommendations.• The ability to research protection, pension & investment products and an understanding the key information required that may affect our recommendations.• The ability to undertake detailed quantitative and qualitative research on legacy products, identifying where more in-depth analysis and questioning of providers is required.• The ability to present concepts and recommendations in a clear and logical format using language which can be easily understood by clients.• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact directly with clients and other members of staff at all levels.• Excellent report writing skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.• Ability to work as part of a team, mentoring and supporting junior and/or inexperienced team members.• Effective time management.• A flexible and adaptable attitude towards work is essential.
