Derventio Fire and Security ltd are a family run business specialising in fire alarms, extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control. We are based in Malton, North Yorkshire. The Radius we cover as standard include the North Yorkshire Moors down to Hull and the coast across to Leeds/Harrogate area. The company is 3rd party approved with the SSAIB, Bafe and safecontractor.

Job description

Senior position to help manage the small team of engineers

• Day to day supervision of engineers within the team.
• Engineer audits
• Installing & maintaining fire & security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements, especially when a high knowledge level is needed for a tricky fault or commissioning a complex system.
• Responding to service calls on all types of fire and security systems in support of the team when needed
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota for service provision
• Delivering first-class service levels to our customers
• Work with the wider team within the business including the Management team to ensure that all jobs are covered and to ensure stock levels are maintained
• Attend and/or deliver training sessions and Engineering team meetings as required.

Main duties include the service, repair and installation of fire and security systems. You would be expected to work to a high standard on

Fire alarms (Morley, Kentec, Advanced)

Intruder alarms (Orisec/Texecom)

CCTV (Hikvision IP and TVI, Dahua)

Access Control (Paxton/Hikvision)

Fire Extinguishers

Emergency lighting.

The job is a multidiscipline position and you must be open to doing both installation and service work. You must have at least 5 years experience on at least 2 of the above duties. You will work on commercial, industrial, building site and domestic properties where we have built up a good relationship with the clients, we expect you to be polite and well mannered when dealing with the customers.

Full Driving licence

5 years experience

Good communication skills

Full security screening /vetting

Positive attitude

Preferred requirements

FIA BS5839 Training

BAFE fire extinguisher training

Any other training including product training

IPAF licence

ECS/CSCS card

Work hours are 830-1700 Mon-Fri with over time available.

Annual leave is 4 weeks plus bank holidays

Wages are negotiable depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £37,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
