Senior Front Office Risk Analyst - eFinancialCareers : Job Details

Your responsibilities would include:

• Interacting daily with trading desks and fundamental analysis teams to facilitate analysis, advise on portfolio management and trading strategies
• Identifying risks and producing commentary for weekly meetings
• Supporting front office in developing proposals for new business activities
• Producing analysis and evaluating proposals
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly risk reports
• Carry out risk assessments and investigations into various opportunities and identify optimal solutions

You will need to have the following experience:

• Experience in risk management or trading
• Experience interacting directly with traders, originators and senior management
• Strong knowledge of the energy commodities (Power, Gas, LNG, LPG)
• Good understanding of VaR and other market risk techniques (such as scenario analysis and back testing)
• Python, Matlab and SQL knowledge is advantageous
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
