Senior Frontend Engineer - Hybrid/Remote - £80,000-£90,000

As part of their growth, they are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their dynamic and talented team.

Responsibilities:As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the development and modernization of the company's high-traffic platform. You will:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features.
• Lead the refactoring of complex legacy systems, making informed decisions to balance technical debt and business priorities.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Help shape and implement frontend strategies, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
• Contribute to a strong DevOps culture, overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and incident management.
• Promote best practices in code quality, performance, and security, while ensuring the reliability and scalability of systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering department.

Experience:The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience working with legacy web applications and leading efforts to modernize and refactor complex systems.
• A deep understanding of frontend technologies, including JavaScript (TypeScript), React (Hooks), CSS/SCSS, GraphQL (Apollo), Node.js, and Webpack.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like Next.js, Storybook, and testing tools such as Jest and Cypress.
• A strong track record in leading and mentoring engineering teams, supporting their development through coaching, feedback, and code reviews.
• Experience with DevOps practices, particularly in owning the end-to-end software development process.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering high-quality code that meets both technical and business needs.
