Senior Garment Technologist - Fashion - Tagged Resources : Job Details

The Company:

A supplier to the high street, ecommerce brands and have several inhouse brands, are seeking a Senior Garment Technologist to join their team. Ideally experience with men’s / casual fashion and some kids experience would be very beneficial.

CUSTOMER BASE INCLUDES: JD SPORTS, FOOOTASYLUM, TK MAXX, FRENCH CONNECTION

This business has a small, close team who are passionate about product. Being a small team, everyone has a say and will be involved in various functions accordingly.

The business is steadily growing and therefore looking to recruit new team members who fit within their mindset and business ambitions.

Main objective of this business is to service current 3rd party accounts whilst they grow their inhouse brands and retail brand partnerships.

The Role

• Create size and amend specs.
• Carry out grading on specs provided by customers, align grading across collections.
• Review samples alongside designer, developer and account manager.
• Liaise with customer and factory to relay and discuss comments.
• Set parameters for testing on each customer, inhouse brand in relation to base fabrics and finished garments and trims.
• Relay all testing info to suppliers
• Liaise with account manager to ensure testing is aligned with Critical Path
• Review and submit to customers as required.
• Keep on top of supplier compliance status to ensure all audits are up to date.
• Submit to customers to keep records up to date.
• To be familiar with or happy to learn and be up to speed on customer systems and processes when working with retailers such as NEXT, ASOS, JD SPORTS etc.

Skills Required:

• Previous garment technology experience.
• We need a highly organised person, with good broad product knowledge.
• Need to be able to plan their workload efficiently and manage multiple customers / suppliers.
