Responsibilities
- Assist with communicating, training and ensuring compliance of all Human Resource policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and recommendations on all people related issues.
- Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the food production industry.
- Coach, challenge and influence leaders and managers to develop leadership and team capability.
- Help to continually improve the overall business performance and ensure teams are and future ready.
- Work closely with the HR Manager and Leadership team to define, deliver and measure culture and engagement initiatives across the business.
- Manage the recruitment process, from developing job descriptions to facilitating interviews
- Organise and deliver HR-related training programs
- Support, coach and challenge line management with absence, disciplinary and grievance issues analysing trends to recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
- Support the development of performance management systems
Experience
- You will have a strong background in HR as an HR Advisor or Officer
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices
- A solution-focused approach to conflict resolution
- Strong IT skills in HRIS and Office packages (particularly Word, SharePoint, Excel)
- A proactive approach to employee engagement and staff development
- Proven ability to plan and implement projects/initiatives
- Analytical skills: quickly evaluates data / situations and reaches conclusions
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, manufacturing organisation would be highly desirable
