A leading commodities trading firm are searching for an experienced Windows/Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As Senior within the team you will be expected to play a key role in driving projects and offering suggestions to help define team strategy. Much of your work with focus on Windows Server and VMware and as a result you will be expected to have strong experience across both. The team are currently working on a number of projects that you will get a chance to work on. This includes the following:

• Data Centre move planning, investigation, and execution (Will be heavily involved in this)
• Moving DR management in-house
• Migrating more of their estate to Azure
• Increasing Linux estate
• Starting to do a lot of work with Kubernetes and Docker, much more to come

Currently only 2/3 applications are hosted in AKS containers so there is still a lot of work to do in this. They have built out some Kubernetes clusters on premises, but none are in production. This role offers a great opportunity for someone upskill in Kubernetes and Linux as neither are a pre-requisite yet there will be regular chances to work with both.

Requirements:

• Windows Server
• VMware
• Citrix
• Strong Scripting and automation (any language, more the mindset they are after)
• Active Directory
• Storage experience, preferably Pure
• Any industry
• Nice to have – Azure, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker
