Senior Infrastructure Engineer - £65,000 - Central Manchester

The Company:

Lorien Global are working with a leading organisation within the online gambling sector, who are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Technical Operations team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing their critical business and platform infrastructure, which underpins their high-volume, 24/7 operations.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take a lead role in infrastructure builds, automation, and deployment, ensuring a robust, production-ready environment capable of scaling to meet ongoing growth. Expertise in automation, scalability, network architecture, monitoring, management, and security within NSX, AWS, and VMware is essential. Given the nature of the gambling industry, ensuring system reliability and security is of paramount importance.

Essential Skills and Experience:

A successful candidate will have a blend of the following:

• Proven experience in server and infrastructure support within a support environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016+) and CentOS-based Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience managing and supporting Windows Server roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Clustering, IIS).
• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware ESX/NSX/Nutanix).
• Experience with server hardware builds and physical device installations.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Significant experience in an IT support function, adhering to ITIL best practices.
• Excellent communication and customer management skills.
