We are seeking an experienced Initial Airworthiness Engineer to ensure our aircraft meet the highest safety and regulatory standards from the design phase through to manufacturing. This pivotal role involves managing the certification process, supporting design and development, overseeing testing and inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure aircraft design adheres to aviation regulations and standards (FAA, EASA, etc.).
- Certification Process: Manage the initial airworthiness certification process for new aircraft and modifications.
- Design Support: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address potential airworthiness issues.
- Testing and Inspection: Oversee ground tests, flight tests, and inspections to verify safety and performance standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed compliance records and reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance certification processes and stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with regulatory authorities, design and engineering teams, manufacturing, and quality assurance personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aircraft certification and airworthiness.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, etc.).
