Senior Investment Analytics Manager - SNG Formerly Sovereign Housing Association : Job Details

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group in this new role as Senior Investment Analytics Manager. You’ll lead the creation of an Investment and Development reporting and analytics suite to support the delivery and evolution of the investment strategy, influencing at a senior level to drive the use of data and insight led decision making across the Investment and Development function.

With offices in Bristol, Basingstoke and London, we can be flexible in your base location, combining office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance. There may be some travel as required to our offices in Basingstoke and Wembley.

What you'll be doing

Reporting into the Investment and Development Finance Director, you’ll manage a team of Insight Analysts to lead the delivery of an insightful systemised analytics and reporting suite for the Investment and Development business.

As a trusted partner to the investment and development senior leadership team, you’ll work with your team to provide key information to inform decision making, providing insights focused on capital decision support, performance management, development stage gateway reporting, and investment strategy evolution. Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the senior leadership team to create Investment and Development briefings to provide data-led insights, to inform and influence the investment strategy and business decision making
• Providing overarching insight into portfolio performance for both Development and Strategic Asset Management activity, working with functional leaders to propose actions to take advantage of opportunities and/or mitigate risks
• Using financial acumen and commercial knowledge to interpret complex financial and investment analysis to provide insight into historic performance and to inform future strategies and mitigation planning
• Creating a roadmap for analytics and reporting systemisation, working with the senior leadership team to prioritise and sequence delivery
• Setting the standard for high quality insightful reporting with the use of visualisation tools that bring data to life and allow the business to draw new insights and conclusions from complex data sets
• Leading the design of comprehensive reports and dashboards that communicate key performance indicators and insights to Investment and Development business stakeholders.
• Being a key SME for Development and Investment system integration projects, system upgrades and other projects

What we need from you

You’ll have expertise in a similar senior role from within the Housing or Property / Real sector, providing commercial financial data and insights to inform business decision making. Ideally, you’ll be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong commercial and financial expertise. You’ll also have:

• An excellent track record for influencing, business partnering, performance reporting, financial planning and stakeholder management
• Proven experience in analysing complex datasets to derive actionable insights and business recommendations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse audiences
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Power BI
• Strong Analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions
• A track record in managing and developing a high performing team
• Experience in PowerBI is highly desirable
