Role: Senior IT Engineer

Location: Central Manchester

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 DOE

Working Pattern: 5 days on-site reducing to 3 days

Summary

A brand new role has opened up for a Senior IT Engineer to join a thriving MSP. The company are based in central Manchester, close to transport links and on-site parking.

The company are experiencing fantastic growth and are now looking for an individual to join their team to provide critical technical escalations, take ownership of complex issues and own documentation. Your blend of customer experience, knowledge of hardware and software systems and excellent troubleshooting skills will make you the perfect candidate for this position.

The role is being offered as 3 days on-site after an initial settling in period.

The Role

You will be working in a small team acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues, and liaise with the Service Desk manager regarding any issues you might face. As the company are extremely customer-focused, you will be responsible for suggesting improvements and new solutions for the customers' environment. Other responsibilities include:

• Carry out and complete tasks as set out in tickets
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues
• Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting support to resolve issues within the agreed SLAs
• Take charge of creating technical documentation and guidelines.
• Ensure a minimum of 5 tickets are closed per day.
