Bristow Holland is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior IT Support Engineer to join an exciting IT infrastructure team based in Bury St Edmunds. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of server management, networking, and general IT support. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
- Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Provide general IT support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Monitor system performance and security, and assist with troubleshooting.
- Help maintain and update IT documentation and procedures.
- Participate in the deployment of new IT projects and systems.
- Work collaboratively with this IT team to support ongoing operations and improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong Office 365 skills
- Experience with Active Directory
- Cloud experience either Azure or AWS
- Basic understanding of server operating systems and server hardware.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant education or certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of systems administration.
