Senior Java Developer - FIX / Low-Latency - eFinancialCareers : Job Details

Your Key responsibilities will be:

• Leading the enhancement and optimisation of the FIX engine, focusing on improving performance, network connectivity, and low-latency requirements while acting as the Product Owner for FIX-related products.
• Reverse engineering and enhance existing code, utilising strong expertise in FIX standards, Java development, and modern tools like Jira, GitHub, containers, cloud, and test tools.
• Collaborating across teams by contributing to product design, assisting with pre-sales activities, and adapting priorities to accommodate new client onboarding and project requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 6+ years’ experience working as a Java Developer in the Financial Services or FinTech industry, including taking ownership of product design (Low-latency experience a plus)
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of FIX and related products / standards
• Experience and comfort assisting with sales/pre-sales tasks and activities
