VP Senior Java Software (individual contributor) - Investment Bank Trading Systems - 100% Greenfield

Hybrid 2-3 days on-site (not set days)

Rare opportunity to join at the early stages of a multi-year programme where you will have direct input in the design of a complex trading platform for this globally renowned Investment Bank.

Technical stack: Java, Spring, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite, Angular, and Kubernetes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Extensive experience in complex software development with specialisation in messaging middleware, databases (Oracle, Flink, Ignite, Kafka), or Kubernetes.
• Deep server-side knowledge and understanding of streaming architectures.
• Experience with SDLC automation tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
• Strong technical skills and advocacy for test-driven development and delivery automation.
• Experience working in a global team, aiding others through pair programming and knowledge sharing.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude and ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with business, operations, developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to shape the future platform.

Ideal candidates for this role will have 8+ years experience predominently spent within an investment banking environment and will likely be in the early years of VP level role. Unfortunately sponsorship / COS transfer is not available for this role.
