Your new companyA global services provider and systems integrator for the Travel sector, that employ over 40,000 people across six continents.Your new roleThe organisation is now recruiting for a Business Analyst on the Retail side of the business which acts as a Systems Integrator for a large retail business, operating an integrated retail solution. This encompasses point of sale, back-office retail functionality, warehouse management, supply chain, distribution and data warehousing. The successful Business Analyst will add capability to the existing IT function, taking ownership of requirements definition and analysis, and systems process documentation. This role will involve working closely with the solutions architect and with customer stakeholders and third parties to ensure and assure that all current and new implementations satisfy defined functional and non-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
* Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
* Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
* Performing requirements definition and analysis.
* Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
* Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
* Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
* Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
* Participating in user acceptance testing.
* Updating, implementing, and maintaining system process and procedure documentation.
What you'll need to succeed* Proven track record of operating in a Senior / Lead BA capacity with expert knowledge of Business Analysis / BABOK.
* Previous Retail experience with knowledge of PoS, WMS, Supply Chain, Distribution and Data Warehousing etc.
* Able to operate independently with minimal supervision and confident in making critical decisions.
* Used to working with external customers and partners and able to manage demanding stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Multi site and international experience is an advantage.
* Professional BA certification is desirable.
