About the Role:

My FS Client are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer with expertise in ETL, Python, and SQL to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines, ensuring the seamless flow of data across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.

  • Develop and optimise SQL queries and database structures to support analytics and reporting needs.

  • Leverage Python for data transformation, automation, and integration with various data sources.

  • Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.

  • Troubleshoot performance issues and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a senior role.

  • Strong expertise in ETL development and data pipeline orchestration.

  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.

  • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimisation and database performance tuning.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data tools.

  • Knowledge of data modelling, warehousing, and big data technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.

  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.

  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices for data engineering.
